Job Opening: Revenue Manager – Luxury Destination Resort, Thimphu, Bhutan

Overview

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Revenue Manager to lead the commercial optimization of our luxury destination resort in Thimphu. This role requires a visionary professional with proven expertise in revenue management, pricing strategy, and distribution channels, capable of balancing profitability with the integrity of guest experience. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of luxury hospitality markets and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies that elevate both brand positioning and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operations

  • Drive revenue strategy across rooms, F&B, spa, wellness, and ancillary services.

  • Full responsibility for forecasting, budgeting, and revenue performance.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align commercial goals with guest satisfaction.

  • Uphold ultra-luxury brand standards (Forbes / LQA) while ensuring commercial discipline.

Revenue Optimization & Distribution

  • Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies across all segments.

  • Manage distribution channels (OTA, GDS, direct booking platforms) to maximize yield.

  • Monitor competitor performance and market trends to refine positioning.

  • Ensure rate parity and integrity across all platforms.

Data Analytics & Forecasting

  • Leverage advanced analytics to identify demand patterns and optimize inventory.

  • Produce accurate forecasts for occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and ancillary revenues.

  • Present insights and recommendations to ownership and senior leadership.

Pre-Opening & Market Positioning

  • Contribute to pre-opening strategies, including pricing models, channel setup, and system integration.

  • Collaborate with owners, developers, and brand teams to establish commercial frameworks.

  • Position the resort competitively within Bhutan’s growing luxury hospitality market.

Continuous Innovation & Brand Governance

  • Introduce innovative revenue strategies aligned with seasonal and cultural dynamics.

  • Maintain strong relationships with travel partners, corporate accounts, and UHNW guest networks.

  • Balance operational feasibility with guest-centered experiences.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 8–12+ years in revenue management within luxury resorts or hospitality groups, with progression into leadership roles.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong command of revenue management systems (RMS), channel managers, and analytics tools.

  • Market Knowledge: Proven track record in destination resorts, preferably in Asia or remote luxury environments.

  • Leadership: Ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Luxury Hospitality: Familiarity with ultra-luxury standards, guest privacy, and brand governance.

  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional skills in forecasting, data interpretation, and strategic decision-making.
