Job Opening for Commis Continental For Maldives Resorts

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook continental cuisine dishes according to the menu and chef's specifications.

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, making sauces, and marinating meats.

  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.

  • Monitor and record temperatures of food items to ensure proper cooking and storage.

  • Follow all standard recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency in food quality.

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.

  • Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and replenishment.

  • Stay updated with new techniques and trends in continental cuisine.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working as a Commis or in a similar role.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of continental cuisine and cooking techniques.

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.

Desired Experience:

1-3 years of experience as a Commis in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
