Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook continental cuisine dishes according to the menu and chef's specifications.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, making sauces, and marinating meats.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Monitor and record temperatures of food items to ensure proper cooking and storage.
Follow all standard recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency in food quality.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and replenishment.
Stay updated with new techniques and trends in continental cuisine.
Essential Qualifications:
Prior experience working as a Commis or in a similar role.
Demonstrated knowledge of continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Highly motivated and able to work independently.
Desired Experience:
1-3 years of experience as a Commis in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
