Job Description:
Eclat Hospitality is seeking a talented and experienced Corporate Chef to lead the culinary operations for an Upmarket boutique hotel in Mumbai. As the Corporate Chef, you will play a vital role in creating a unique and memorable dining experience for our guests while ensuring the highest quality of culinary offerings.
Responsibilities:
1. Menu Planning and Design: Develop innovative menus that reflect the latest culinary trends while considering the preferences and requirements of our guests. Ensure the menus are diverse, enticing, and aligned with the overall concept of the hotel.
2. Culinary Operations Management: Oversee and manage the daily culinary operations of the hotel, including menu execution, food preparation, and presentation. Ensure consistency and adherence to the highest standards of quality in all aspects of the culinary experience.
3. Recipe Development and Standardization: Create and maintain standardized recipes for all menu items. Train and educate kitchen staff on recipe preparation techniques to maintain consistency.
4. Staff Training and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff. Conduct training programs to enhance their culinary skills, product knowledge, and understanding of food safety protocols.
5. Food Cost Management: Monitor food costs, analyze pricing trends, and develop strategies to control expenses without compromising on quality. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source the best quality ingredients at competitive prices.
6. Hygiene and Sanitation: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
7. Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with the F&B Manager and other relevant departments to ensure a seamless and exceptional dining experience for guests. Provide guidance on food pairings, special events, and catered functions.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Corporate Chef or Executive Chef in a luxury boutique hotel or fine dining restaurant.
2. Exceptional culinary skills and a strong passion for creating innovative and memorable dining experiences.
3. In-depth knowledge of international cuisines, culinary techniques, and current food trends.
4. Proven track record of leading and managing a culinary team, including training, development, and performance management.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
7. Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
8. A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred.
