AccorHotels Commitment towards Diversity & Inclusion at “Promoting Disability Inclusive Development Report Validation Workshop” in collaboration with UNDP Maldives

Celebrating the International Day of Persons With Disabilities in coordination with UNDP has given us a chance to mobilise for changing other peoples’ views: to learn about disabilities, begin a dialogue on this topic, and promote awareness among our employees
— Vaibhav Garg – Area Talent & Culture Manager – AccorHotels,

Did you know that 80% of disabilities are not visible? AccorHotels is reaffirming its commitment and has chosen to focus on the issue of invisible disabilities which are very common yet largely unknown and still misunderstood. Supporting our employees, raising their awareness, mobilizing them to change perceptions and encouraging dialogue… these are the everyday challenges faced by our Group.

With 250,000 employees in 100 countries, Diversity is an integral part of our Group’s DNA. Welcoming others, appreciating them, learning from their differences and bringing out their talents is one of the founding principles of our managerial ethics. Firmly rooted in our DNA, this principle is a daily challenge but also the key to our collective success.

AccorHotels is spotlighting and celebrating the theme of invisible disability.

Various events and workshops were organized to raise awareness of invisible disabilities amongst our employees. Posters are also displayed in our hotels, establishments and head offices.

An international operation is also being organized on our internal supports and social media as well as an international photo contest, relayed by the hashtag

#ProudOfOurDifferences.
